Facing a bet of 50 into 100, defend at least 66.7%; you can fold at most 33.3%.
| Bet (pot) | Bluff break-even | Defend |
|---|---|---|
| ¼ | 20% | 80% |
| ⅓ | 25% | 75% |
| ½ | 33.3% | 66.7% |
| ⅔ | 40% | 60% |
| ¾ | 42.9% | 57.1% |
| 1× | 50% | 50% |
| 1.5× | 60% | 40% |
| 2× | 66.7% | 33.3% |
| 3× | 75% | 25% |
The pot is 100 and the opponent bets 50 (½ pot). The bluff break-even is 50 ÷ 150 = 33.3% and your MDF is 100 ÷ 150 = 66.7%: at least two of every three hands must continue, or every bluff shows an automatic profit. Bigger bets need less defense: a pot-sized bet only needs 50%.
